Because there are no vibrant colors to hide behind, there is absolutely zero margin for error—every single stroke of the brush must be flawless. This 1-of-1 canvas demanded over 400 technical hours of intensely focused daily labor to complete.

True to the sacred heritage of Raghurajpur, the canvas was hand-prepared over weeks using bound cotton cloth and tamarind seed paste. The striking contrast is achieved using 100% natural, earth-derived pigments: the brilliant whites are crafted from crushed conch shells, the deep, commanding blacks are sourced from collected lamp soot, and the golden-yellow hues are extracted from local stones and flora. The microscopic detailing of the filigree work was executed using traditional brushes fashioned from mouse hair.
