The Story & Its Importance This museum-grade canvas is a visual encyclopedia of Hindu cosmology, centering on the Nouka Vihar—the divine and romantic boat ride of Radha and Krishna, completely enveloped in a mesmerizing mandala of black-and-white floral scrollwork.

Flanking this magnificent center are the Dashavatara—the ten grand incarnations of Lord Vishnu. Read from top to bottom on the left and right, the panels flawlessly depict his cosmic descent to restore balance to the universe: from Matsya (the fish) and Narasimha (the lion-man) to Rama, Krishna, and finally Kalki upon his white horse. Encircled by 24 outer medallions showcasing epic Puranic tales, this painting acts as a supreme symbol of cosmic order, protection, and eternal devotion, making it an awe-inspiring focal point for any luxury space.

The Craftsmanship & Technical Hours A composition of this architectural complexity demands absolute mastery. This 1-of-1 canvas required over 300 to 350 technical hours of intensely focused daily labor to complete. The breathtaking black-and-white filigree work surrounding the center circle alone requires a hand so steady that artisans often hold their breath during the strokes.

Following the sacred traditions of Raghurajpur, the canvas was hand-prepared over weeks using bound cotton cloth and tamarind seed paste. The sophisticated, elegant color palette is 100% organic and earth-derived—the brilliant whites are made from crushed conch shells, the deep blacks from collected lamp soot, and the vivid pinks and blues from natural minerals and crushed flora. The micro-detailing was executed using fine, traditional brushes fashioned from mouse hair.
